How often does the ship sail?
There is no fixed schedule for outings. In our activity program, we usually organise about three trips to sea per month.
What do I need to do to take part in an activity?
To join our activities, it is necessary to make a booking. Contact our team by phone or email, or stop by our sales point to book the activity you’re interested in.
Is it necessary to book?
Yes. All our activities require prior booking.
What happens if the activity is cancelled due to rough seas?
If an activity cannot take place, all participants will be informed and offered the option to book the next scheduled date. If the payment was made in advance, the money will be refunded.
How do I make the payment?
You can make a bank transfer to our account or pay in cash at our sales point. Card payments are not accepted.
What if I can’t participate in the activity after all?
If a participant cannot or does not wish to take part in the activity for any reason, they may designate another person to take their place under the same conditions and obligations, without any additional cost, up until the activity begins.
Can I participate with children?
Most of our activities are designed for a wide range of audiences. In our program, activities are family-friendly, and we only indicate if a minimum age is required (+14).
Can I bring my pet?

What if I get seasick?
If you’re unsure, we recommend taking an anti-seasickness pill containing caffeine before boarding. In any case, our crew will be available to help with whatever you need.
Does the ship sail during the visit?
No, MATER does not leave the dock during the visit.
How many people can join the visit?
During regular visiting hours, the maximum capacity is 15 people. For larger groups, booking at least 48 hours in advance is required.

Yes. You can book the activity and pay in advance.
How long does the visit last?
The Ecoactive Museum Ship visit lasts between 50 and 60 minutes.
Does the museum have parking?
MATER does not have its own parking. On weekdays from 8:00 to 19:30 you can park in the car parks near the museum at the Pasaia San Pedro dock. On weekends or holidays, you must park in the designated car parks in Trintxerpe.
Can photos be taken?
Yes, photos can be taken during our activities.
Is it accessible for people with disabilities?
Taking into account the architectural limitations of the ship, we try to be as accessible as possible. However, the very nature of the vessel may be a limiting factor for people with mobility issues.
